Looking for bed and breakfast, a bunkhouse or camping? Then you’re at the right place! Comfortable accommodation, good beer, tasty food (including real vegetarian choice) and friendly folk all make for an enjoyable break in the superb Welsh countryside. Mountain biking, walking, gliding, trekking and canoeing are all on our doorstep, as is Brecon, Abergavenny and Hay on Wye. In fact, activities galore are available nearby, but for those who just want to relax, come and try it, it doesn’t get much more laid back than this!
The Castle Inn is named after the ancient fortress of Castell Dinas, which lies right behind us at the top of an unspoilt valley within the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. It is a former hill farm located at over 1,000 feet above sea level in the rural heart of the Black Mountains, which make up the Eastern part of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Our lovely Inn lies at the top of a unspoilt sheep farming valley in a peaceful part of southern Powys, grass covered, round topped mountains ascend on all sides, quietly grazed by hardy Welsh sheep and hill ponies. The area is popular with those who love The Great Outdoors and many people come to walk, mountain bike or purely to escape their usual surroundings and relax in our bed & breakfast accommodation.
On cold evenings you can relax by our open log fire, join us for a drink and try our good home cooked food, before tumbling into your comfy bed in our bed and breakfast rooms or bunkhouse. For the more hardy, camping is available all year round. We are well known for the quality of our real ales, and usually have 3 different ones on the pumps at the weekend. We have been listed in Camra for ale and our bed & breakfast accommodation is 3 star.
We have a drying room, mountain bike storage and parking for about 50 cars.
We cater for individuals and groups of all sizes, and have had great times with hen and stag parties too. We have our own spring water supply and have been CAMRA recommended, so whether you are a drinker or not you're sure to get the finest! We make lots of good home cooked food, and are always glad to see you!
We are very lucky to get the loveliest locals and visitors here... join us and you'll see!
Great company, good food, real ale and clean air…
